“ Our whale watching trip with Legends was one of the best organized tours I have ever been on. I have been on many adventure tours and for so many reasons this was the best.
The food was exceptional, hot sit down breakfast, brown bag lunch with sandwiches or tacos always with a tasty cookie. Every dinner was amazing, fresh local fish, beef, fresh local vegetables always accompanied by happy hour margaritas and multiple bottles of wine. Cant even describe how good the desserts were. Be prepared to enjoy yourself.
Nathan as a guide was entertaining insightful and great fun every day. I learned about all the variety of cactus the local folklore and his knowledge of the local beachside camping areas was great. Nathan was up early capturing sunrise photos, photographing vehicles storming mud puddles, or flying his drone to capture our convoy. The photo package is a great value. His crew worked tirelessly cooking, setting up camp and then breaking down and packing up for that day’s adventure. Looking forward to more adventures with Legends soon.

“As first-time campers and adventurers, my husband and I chose to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary with Legends Overlanding in Baja California, under the expert guidance of Nathan Stewart. We explored the ever-changing desert landscapes, spotted impressive Cardon cacti, and even had a fun competition to see who could spot the largest one! Experiencing the desert's magnificence amid its challenging environment was awe-inspiring.
We enjoyed a fantastic whale-watching tour, witnessing majestic fin whales and playful dolphins. Our chef, Kevin, prepared delicious meals with locally sourced Baja ingredients. A visit to Rancho 4A introduced us to Cimarron bighorn sheep, and the hosts were exceptional.
Nathan's photo package was a great investment, beautifully documenting our memorable Baja adventure.
As a newcomer to camping and overlanding, I felt completely at ease throughout the journey, thanks to Nathan's patient and step-by-step guidance. Safety was a top priority throughout the trip. We booked a custom trip with Legends and the entire experience totally exceeded our expectations! We wanted to do some off-roading on the beach and explore parts of Baja we hadn't seen before. Working with Nathan to plan the trip was like having a friend who happened to live in Baja for 20+ years giving us advice and suggestions.
On the trails, we had a total blast and having someone who lives there was essential, as we had to make some last minute adjustments due to weather and other factors. Then there was the food. Alex is an absolute rock star. He worked in fine dining in the Valle and that sensibility shows in meals that quite honestly, we couldn't believe he was able to make out of the back of a pickup and on a remote volcanic island (!!!). We dine out a lot (hazard of the job), and his food was some of the best and most creative we've had in recent memory.
All in all, we couldn't believe what an incredible experience we had and we felt like we got so much more than we paid for. We're recommending Legends to all our friends and family and can't wait to book another trip.

“One of the coolest things about our trip was the variety of places we were able to go. We had a few key things that we wanted to be able to see and do along our route if time would permit. Hot springs was one of them. There are hot springs and palm oasis all over Baja and it was super cool to have a very remote hot spring on the first nights camp spot. The trail leading to it was awesome as well. Being able to do a little rock crawling and high speed driving just to get there was a blast.
As a seafood lover we were treated with some of the most amazing and definitely the freshest seafood I've ever had by the end of the day. Everything came out of the water that day and some of the fish we caught ourselves on the boat ride back from cave exploring was served up as sashimi. There was never a dull moment and the overall pace of the trip was perfect. Leaving plenty of time for exploring and beach combing on our way to each camp spot.

“We had wanted to plan a trip to Baja for content and validation on some new builds. But trying to figure out where to go and how to plan a trip while getting ready for expo season was becoming a headache. Enter Nathan at Legends Overlanding. He was introduced to us by some friends, and we started the conversation. We told him what we wanted to accomplish and a few things we wanted to see. He worked with us to craft the perfect experience. Not just for content, but for the families to have time to get out, enjoy and relax a bit.
Now, I have to say, He said that they would take care of the food, breakfast, bagged Lunch, and dinner. I was expecting some simple things and a turkey sandwich with chips-type bagged lunch. But no, I was so wrong. The first night Chef was rolling out handmade pasta to make lasagna. In the desert. The next day lunch was tamales wrapped in banana leaves. Another day lunch was smoked white fish sandwiches. On one of our last nights, after a day of fishing on the boats, they took the catch and made sashimi, fried fillets, and brought in Oysters and clams. His crew was amazing, bilingual, and helpful, easy to talk to and hang out with.
The main Guide, Nathan Stuart, is a good dude was some great stories. You can tell that he truly loves and respects Baja and its people. He has taken the time to develop and nurture relationships with the communities in Baja, and it shows. After the trip, I felt like I had gained a friend that I would know for the rest of my life. I cannot say enough good things about the trip, Legends Overlanding, and the people involved. We will be back again.”

“Coming up with words is difficult for a trip that now reflecting back felt like a dream. I’ve been to Mexico a few times, but I have never experienced the beauty that is the backcountry of Baja like I did with Legends Overlanding.
My group was not actually one to consider themselves overlanders, but when we arrived at camp, we all knew this trip was going to be epic and 100% worth trailering our two off-road Jeeps out from Michigan. We turned a corner off the main dirt road and found ourselves in ancient pine trees, giant boulders, and a state-of-the-art camp site with all the amenities needed to be comfortable yet ruggedly rustic.
Our guides had mapped out our adventures each day, planned our meals with on-site chefs and locally sourced food, and were the source of some great stories and laughter.
We spent five days meandering through trails, hiking to unbelievable sights, meeting with locals (the cheese is *outstanding*), and just breathing in everything that is the last of the true Wild West. This was not just a trip or an excursion – it was a blockbuster adventure and one that we fully intend to do again in the future. Thank you, Legends Overlanding!”

“This trip was my first time going to Baja and also my first time traveling to Mexico by land and it couldn’t have been better. I, like many, was curious as to the difficulty of the border crossing and the safety once south of the border and with Nathan’s lead it turned out to be far less then what I had made it up to be.
The camping was great, the most comfortable I’ve experienced. I am used to making my own camp and cooking so having this all taken care of made the trip quite relaxing. Also, the trips into the mountains and to the ocean were incredible. I was surprised at the variety the landscape held and once again Nathan made the adventure fun and also educational.
Looking back on the trip makes me want to plan another and next time I hope my wife is able to join! Thanks again to the whole crew who put in the work to scout and logistically facilitate our trip!
